Landmark Office/Residential Development, Newcastle

Anser were appointed by a major house builder on a landmark scheme on the northern bank of the Tyne, close to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and Sage Music Centre.

The scheme comprises 80 residential apartments in a triangular, glass and aluminium 12 storey block on the Quayside, 45,000sq ft of commercial office space in a separate brick and stone clad building, a café and a restaurant, a shop and gallery space, together with a large public space and underground carpark.

Our role was to manage a design team led by Architects, Sir Terry Farrell and partners and a full cast of supporting consultants to develop a scheme and progress it through planning negotiations to a full application. Permission was obtained on Appeal in July 2008.
